Division of Devotion: The Complexity of Monotheism in Chaitanya Theology

[Feedback gave the whole essay a good wrap.  Engagement in the etymology of ‘Monotheism’ would have been interesting.  It was also suggested that Chapter and Section numbers could have been included.  Mark: 69 B+]  

One Rationale (Modern Hinduism)

[The teacher was pleased with the manner of research, the structure of the essay, and the overall independent expression of opinion and concept.  He did note that I did not use page numbers in some of my references.  This is an accepted practice in modern referencing but perhaps traditional teachers expect this.  I excluded them because where I did not use them I was quoting whole sections or multiple sections of a book, and including the page numbers would have been obsolete.  Mark: 65 B+]  

Rituals of Three

[Feedback suggested a nice look into an interesting subject matter with relevant sources.  There were many suggestions of specifics, such as the valid difference between the Vedic ritualists and Purvamimamsas; the scriptural development could have been reduced to a footnote; and a subtitle would have been appropriate.  Mark: 64 B]  

Spiritual Caste

[Opinions of the moderators varied to some extent with this essay but the general point was that although it was well written to some extent the essay lacks deep immersion into the subject matter.  Mark: 57 C+]  

Prabhupada’s Geo-Centricity

[A focused and critical work. Suggested improvements were to discuss more the dating of the Bhagavata, and the differences of Prabhupada’s and Visvanatha Cakcravarti’s commentaries. I will note that this is a critical essay, and I hope no one takes offense. Mark: 60 B]
