September Stretch

September was a bit of a stretch of activities.  We had our last days in Australia, sorting out all the fiddly little things and having some last time  with the family.  My mother dropped us off at the train station and we made our way to Brisbane airport by rail, flew to Singapore for a short stopover, after that we flew to London for another quick bounce, and then we finally flew to Brussels.  (more…)

It was another jumpy June.  I was still in Radhadesh for the beginning of the month.  Our final assignment was due but I had finished it a couple days earlier.  I used the time packing items, scanning papers and living up the lingering time in the spiritual safe haven.  I decided since my last trip to India that the trick I would adopt for travelling is “wheels”.  Try it out yourself some time.   (more…)

March was magnificent.  I started the month in Mayapur.  My little brother Rupa had surprised me; earlier he had informed me he was on route to Australia but when I rolled into Mayapur he was waiting for me, extending his trip.  (more…)

Fantastic February

The fantastic month of February started off with a Sociology of Religion presentation.  The class was headed by HG Urmila Mataji and I chose to present Hare Krishnas in the Movies, an old time classic film of devotees making it on the big screen.  The next to come was the essay and the additional written work for the presentation but I was shafted with intense writer’s block.   (more…)

January was off to a jolly start.  I was only in Radhadesh for a couple of days, after the two week vacation in England, before we were off again.  We had a plan to escort HG Hrdaya Caitanya Prabhu on his GBC duties, from New Mayapur (France) to Paris, and then back home.   (more…)

December 2011 started in Radhadesh, in our newly acquired glass box (student lounge).  I finished my first of four essays just as the Christmas marathon began.  My weekly breakfasts, consisting of soup, chai, and the like, were gaining some popularity (stroking my ego all the while).
