Bugs

assassin-bugs

I have updated my URL from madhat.me to insanehat.com
Mad Hat has never been the full name of this blog, which was once URL’d as maddmonk.wordpress.com , and I have always wanted a dot COM.  So now it has happened…and the name is absurd as ever, as I always hoped it would be.

Does this mean there will be new and current writing material?  Who knows!  Probably not (lolz).  So what does it mean?

It means there will be loads of bugs probably…not juicy six legged insects but loads and loads of hyperlinks (that I spent countless hours creating) directing to a URL that is no longer owned by me or run (by anyone).  In saying that, as I’m writing this email, this site is still bugged out and probably wont be up for another 72 hours.

I humbly request if you come across any bugs – please leave a comment here about which post they were on, or even easier – leave a comment on the post where there are bugs.  That would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you all for your steady-ish readership (as this site has been down for so long for there to be such a thing as steady readership).

Kind regards,
Mad (now also Insane) Hatter.

The Details

Source: The Details

Here I Julie Owens, Australian politician, talking in parliament on the Festival of Chariots.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

The Rath Yatra Festival of Chariots is one of my favourite events of the year. If you missed it this year, try and catch it next year as our local Hindu community drags the chariot and dances their way down Church Street. See where the word ‘juggernaut’ comes from. Thank you to all who organised the event including Iskcon Sydney and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Australia.

That is the question.

Are you ready to die?

Are you ready to live?

Is this the purpose of “to be or not to be”.

And bonus question: are you ready to live until you are 100 or die in a heartbeat?

Removed from Text

I removed this from my essay but felt it needed another avenue of publication:

“Therefore assessment can include competency but should be emphasised on nature.  This type of assessment should be in the heart of the teaching and learning process, but a quantified approach should be placed at the foot, where the labour of holding up the figurative body is.  Quantitative assessment is the sole of the institutional body, whereas examination of one’s nature, in community, is the soul of the institutional body.”
